Paul Kasmin is honored to present a selection of work from Lee Krasner’s Solstice Series at this year’s ADAA: The Art Show. Between 1979 and 1981, Krasner made twenty-one collaged paintings that incorporated and re-contextualized fragments of earlier work. Towards the end of her five-decade career, she continued to push the boundaries of her practice with the Solstice Series, revisiting and cannibalizing older works and processes, while demonstrating an acute understanding of language as an integral element of the self.

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce Bernar Venet: Arcs, on view at 297 Tenth Avenue from March 9 – April 22, 2017. German multimedia artist Annina Roescheisen is pleased to announce the first public display of the #WhatBringsPeace sculpture as part of the homonymous participatory art project conceived by the artist. This January, Paul Kasmin Gallery and Sotheby’s Old Masters Department will present their first collaborative exhibition, Naturalia, curated by Danny Moynihan. The show will be comprised of works spanning six centuries which share a fundamental focus on the examination of natural science and its myriad presentations in art.

Published by Kehrer Verlag, Berlin this new photography publication presents artist Rolf Sachs’s yearlong exploration of landscape and speed across the UNESCO World Heritage Rhaetian Albula/Bernina Railway line. In his most recent photographic project Camera in Motion: From Chur to Tirano, photographs were taken from a moving train, capturing the passing landscape in momentum and grasping the instant of a fleeting moment.

An emphatic focal point of the booth will be the seminal and monumental painting Another Storm, 1963 by Lee Krasner. Having just been included in the exhibition Jackson Pollock's 'Mural': Energy Made Visible at the Museo Picasso Málaga, this is the first work of Krasner's to be exhibited by Paul Kasmin Gallery since the recent announcement of its representation of the works of Lee Krasner from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
