Artist Bosco Sodi Now Represented by Paul Kasmin Gallery

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce the representation of artist Bosco Sodi (b. Mexico City, 1970).  The inaugural solo exhibition at the gallery is scheduled to open in Fall 2017 and will be the first to focus exclusively on Sodi’s Clay Cube sculptures.

Artist Rolf Sachs Unveils Special Edition Leica Camera

Artist Rolf Sachs, in collaboration with Leica Camera AG, presents the new Leica M-P (Type 240) special edition ‘grip’ by Rolf Sachs, the latest addition to the Leica M-System portfolio. The new model unites the iconic rangefinder technology with artistic product design. The combination of unusual materials and the artist's signature bright red colour palette, lends the camera an unexpected look. This special edition is limited to only 79 sets for the worldwide market and will be available exclusively at select Leica Stores from November 2016.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale Presents Francesco Clemente: Dormiveglia

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will present Francesco Clemente: Dormiveglia from October 23, 2016 through August 23, 2017 . This exhibition includes a series of nine, majestic large-scale paintings by Francesco Clemente (born 1952 in Naples, Italy, lives and works in New York and India). Painted in New York in 1998, the Dormivegliaseries takes its title from the Italian expression connoting the state between sleep and awakening and captures the state in which reality intrudes into the realm of dreams.

lván Navarro "Mute Parade" Exhibition at Paul Kasmin Gallery

From October 26 - December 23, 2016, Iván Navarro transforms Paul Kasmin Gallery, 293 Tenth Avenue, into a synesthetic environment with his exhibition Mute Parade. The Chilean-born artist’s second solo show with the gallery continues Navarro’s ongoing use of light, sound, and language to engage with issues of power, migration, and propaganda.

Claude Lalanne: Bijoux Exhibition at Paul Kasmin Gallery

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to present Claude Lalanne: Bijoux, the artist’s inaugural jewelry exhibition in the United States, on view from October 27 - December 23, 2016 at 297 Tenth Avenue.

The exhibition will be her largest to date,  including unique works and editions, spanning 40 years of the artist’s oeuvre.

Aerial Futures Symposium Gathers Aviation Experts in Venice to Reimagine the Future of Airport Architecture

Collateral event of the Venice Architecture Biennale focuses on new technologies and user experience in airports

Organized by the European Cultural Centre, and as part of the official collateral events of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezi, AERIAL FUTURES, GROUNDED VISIONS: Shaping the Airport Terminal of Tomorrow is a two-day symposium taking place October 17-19, 2016. The symposium will encourage discussion about the future of air travel from the perspectives of architecture, design, technology, culture and user experience.

Impasse Ronsin Exhibition Opens October 27 at Paul Kasmin Gallery

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announced the forthcoming exhibition, Impasse Ronsin, which will be on view at 515 West 27th Street from October 27, 2016 through January 14, 2017. Taking as its focus the historic Parisian alley once home to the studios of Constantin Brancusi, William N. Copley, Max Ernst, Yves Klein, Les Lalanne, Larry Rivers, Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely and numerous other seminal 20th century artists, the exhibition will include work by these artists in an elaborate installation designed to embody the collaborative atmosphere of the Impasse Ronsin.

First U.S Solo Museum Show: Samson Kambalu at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will present the first U.S. solo museum exhibition of London-based, Malawian artist Samson Kambalu. Featuring 12 of the artist's recent films, Samson Kambalu: Nyau Cinema will be on view from November 25, 2016- April 23, 2017. The exhibition is curated by Bonnie Clearwater, NSU Art Museum Director and Chief Curator.

Kehrer Presents Rolf Sachs Photography Monograph Camera in Motion: From Chur to Tirano

Published by Kehrer Verlag, Berlin this new photography publication will present artist Rolf Sachs’s yearlong exploration of landscape and speed across the UNESCO World Heritage Rhaetian Albula/Bernina Railway line. In his most recent photographic project Camera in Motion: From Chur to Tirano, photographs were taken from a moving train, capturing the passing landscape in momentum and grasping the instant of a fleeting moment.

German Multimedia Artist Annina Roescheisen Presents New Piece of Video Art 'The Exit Fairytale of Suicide' at Soho House Berlin

Multimedia artist Annina Roescheisen presents her latest work of video art “The Exit Fairytale of Suicide” with the first-ever screening. To coincide with the inaugural, public presentation of this new work, and as part of the artist’s commitment to raise awareness around the topic of suicide, the three screenings of the video (each 5.45 minutes) will be followed by a conversation between the artist and Diana Doko, Chairman & Co-founder of Berlin based suicide prevention organization Freunde fürs Leben e.V. at Soho House Berlin on September 29, 2016 from 7:00- 9:00 PM.

Major Anselm Kiefer Solo Exhibition Opens November 29 at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale

The work of Anselm Kiefer, one of the world’s most prominent contemporary artists, launches a new exhibition series at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale focusing on post-World War II artists whose work addresses issues of identity and the convergence of history and mythology.  Regeneration Series: Anselm Kiefer from the Hall Collection will be on view at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale from November 29, 2016 - August 13, 2017.

NSU Art Museum Receives Promised Gift by Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz Private Collection

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is pleased to announce that David Horvitz, Chairman of the museum's board of governors, and artist Francie Bishop Good, his wife and fellow board member, have made a promised gift to the museum of 100 works from their highly regarded collection of contemporary art. With and emphasis on multi-cultural and women artists, the works date from 1978 to 2013, and fill a gap in the museum's 6,000-work encyclopedic holdings.

Roxy Paine: Thermoplastic Flux Opens September 15 at Paul Kasmin Gallery

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of drawings by Roxy Paine from September 15 through October 22. Paine's substantial body of work as a sculptor spans the monumental and the microscopic, but this exhibition will be the first that focuses solely on his works on paper. The exhibition will show Paine’s drawings to be a significant and distinct aspect of his extensive and varied oeuvre.
