WHO WE ARE
Artefact is a Berlin-based project space & gallery presenting contemporary art and collectible design. Committed to fostering a dynamic creative community, Artefact celebrates the distinct voices of both emerging and established artists and designers. By promoting exploration and experimentation, the gallery empowers collaborators to boldly articulate their perspectives, push the boundaries of design, and challenge the status quo through their artworks. As a catalyst for meaningful cultural dialogue, Artefact cultivates an environment where contemporary art and design converge.
WHAT WE DO
Dedicated to curating a select number of shows annually, Artefact provides artists with prolonged visibility and visitors with ample time to engage deeply with the exhibits. Throughout its programming, Artefact alternates between exhibitions solely dedicated to art or design and those that seamlessly blend both disciplines, fostering innovative and stimulating exchange attained through interdisciplinarity.
In addition to its extended exhibition runs, Artefact offers unparalleled access to the artists and their creative process. Through talks, studio visits, exclusive previews, and events, the gallery cultivates an engaged connection between collectors, artists, and creators, aligned with the art market and its actors. Committed to making art and design accessible to new audiences, as well as young and experienced collectors and patrons, Artefact sensibly prices all artworks and handcrafted objects to foster the democratization of the art market. Artefact provides comprehensive communication, positioning, and marketing support to all artists, to amplify the visibility of the exhibitions and enhance their profiles. By crafting compelling content, Artefact ensures that each show attracts critical attention and fosters a broader appreciation of the artists’ work.
