The inaugural exhibition in celebration of the re-opening will unveil new leather furniture by Italian designer Mario Milana

Les Ateliers Courbet will open its newly designed gallery and showroom on March 10, 2016. In celebration of its transformation, New York’s Master-Craftsmen’s gallery will unveil its collaborative collection of chairs designed by Mario Milana presenting the impeccable furniture craftsmanship of Northern Italy featuring leather upholstery and bronze casting.

New and Iconic Works by Artist Rolf Sachs on View at Vieux Chalet, Gstaad

Artist Rolf Sachs is showing a series of new works alongside some iconic pieces for an exhibition presented in collaboration with Hauser & Wirth at the Vieux Chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland. The exhibition features sculpture, portraiture and a large-scale site-specific neon installation on the exterior and invites visitors to explore pieces throughout the Chalet.

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce James Nares: PORTRAITS, an exhibition of eleven new videos on view from March 3 – April 23, 2016 at 293 Tenth Avenue, New York. PORTRAITS debuts the artist’s first body of video work since he created his iconic video STREET in 2011. In his latest works, the relationship of the camera to the subject is switched as the he changes his role from street photographer to portraitist.

British artist James Capper will present his newest large-scale, kinetic sculpture, Mountaineer Prototype, 2015, at Collins Park in Miami Beach as part of Art Basel Miami Beach’s Public Sector.  This is the artist’s first public installation of a monumental work in the US. The Public Sector, curated by Director and Chief Curator of Public Art Fund Nicholas Baume, includes over 20 large-scale sculptures and installations by leading and emerging international artists  and will run from December 2 – 6, 2015.

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announce DEBORAH KASS: No Kidding, an exhibition of new mixed media paintings on view at 515 West 27th Street from December 9, 2015 – January 23, 2016. Mounted on fields of primarily black and blue, Kass incorporates neon lights in her paintings for the first time, limiting her signature palette, to spell out puns and phrases bearing pop cultural references that provide a somber meditation on the troubling present, and uncertain future.

Max Ernst: Paramyths, Sculpture 1934 – 1967 will be on view at 515 West 27th Street from October 22 – December 5, 2015. Comprised of 14 sculptures made of bronze and stone, spanning nearly 40 years of the artist’s sculptural oeuvre, this exhibition marks the first major solo presentation of Ernst’s sculptures in North America since 1993.

An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6-8pm.

Simon Hantaï: Blancs highlights the artist’s groundbreaking series of multi-colored paintings from 1973-1974 and will be on view at 293 Tenth Ave. from October 22 – December 5, 2015.  Blancs is the first Hantaï exhibition in New York to focus on the series since the works were debuted at the Pierre Matisse Gallery in Hantaï: Paintings, Watercolors: 1971-1975 in October of 1975.

The first catalogue devoted solely to the Blancs will be published on the occasion of the exhibition, and includes a comprehensive new text by noted Hantaï scholar Molly Warnock, an essay by Alex Bacon, and translated texts by Marcelin Pleynet and Stéphen Mallarmé. 

An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6-8pm
